Surf Life Saving GB is the home of 5,000 volunteer beach lifesavers building healthier, safer communities. Our members, aged 7-70+, come together and give their time freely in our 70+ Surf Life Saving Clubs, where they learn Lifesaving skills and compete in Life Saving Sport.

Surf Life Saving GB is the awarding body for the highest standard of Beach Lifeguard Qualification in the country, and is the National Governing Body for Life Saving Sport. More than 80 Surf Life Saving Clubs and 5,000 individuals are proud to be affiliated, with more joining every year.
